Our Purpose
The Sno-King Environmental Protection Coalition was formed by a group of north King County and south Snohomish County residents to preserve our unique local Puget Sound nearshore ecosystem.
We work with local governments and other environmental groups to accomplish 3 goals:
- preserve existing public access to the Puget Sound shore
- protect the shore and surrounding lands from severe environmental impacts when near shore development occurs
- acquire additional nearshore land that can be turned into park land or open space.
Where the Funds Go
We work collaboratively with other like-minded organizations such as the Trust for Public Land and Forterra to achieve our goals. We encourage large donors and guarantors to contact these organizations directly. We do not act on their behalf, but rather to connect donors with projects. Any funds we raise above our operating costs go to the protection and restoration of open spaces. The recipients of these funds will have a longstanding history of land acquisition and open space preservation.
